ABOUT US

We want to change the conversation about weight loss. For two decades we held senior positions in the weight loss industry – we designed and delivered hard core exercise and food programs at a nationally recognized fit / fat farm and we worked with a major weight loss provider. Throughout this period of time we witnessed people counting calories or skipping meals to lose weight and spending endless hours at the gym doing things they didn’t like trying to lose the weight. And while some people were successful using this model – eat less and exercise more – a lot more people didn’t lose weight or the weight came off very slowly and they gave up.

So in 2000, we added something new to conversation of weight loss – we talked about detox, probiotics, gut health and food sensitivities. We altered the programs of the past with this knowledge and watched what happened. People lost weight. People got healthier.

When we worked at the brick and mortar type weight loss business that provided counseling we knew having a coach was not only important but necessary. Having someone to work with while changing patterns and ideas about food made a huge difference. A coach can provide guidance in taking the right supplements.  And for anyone who has attempted to lose weight, it can be an emotional roller coaster – having someone to talk to when it’s tough stops the negative self talk and stops defeat. A good coach is worth their weight in gold. Ask any athlete.

Fast forward to 2015. We wanted to make a difference. We wanted to make it easier for more people to access these programs. We wanted more people to be part of the conversation of understanding that it isn’t calories that’s the problem but it’s their gut health, it’s about the choices of foods that create better health and faster weight loss, and we knew that the fast weight loss meant better success.

So we created FEWL – Fast Easy Weight Loss – health and weight loss programs that fix the problems. And because of how the world works nowadays, it’s online which means anytime that works for you. We wanted to make it easy and accessible for everyone — for you.

FEWL started with a 100% word of mouth referral rate and unlike most of the traditional ‘programs’, 95% of those clients continue to use our products and services as part of their regular ‘maintenance’ even after reaching their goals and NOT recycling into weight-regain.

The ah-ha that your genetics are turned on or off by what you do on a daily basis. You are NOT destined to be fat or thin: what you do in your daily patterns will turn these genes on or off.

Created our first detox program. Actually saw clients losing 5 – 13# a week on average and learned that most ‘rebound’ weight gain is toxins being reabsorbed into the body and observed the importance of regular detoxing for health and weight management.

Deployed a FEWL type program in a health and fitness retreat, where people exercise and get fed gourmet healthy meals. But guess what? We learned that sleep patterns and stress are equally important to losing weight and being healthy as exercise or food. This is called Chronobiology: the actual science of honoring the natural circadian rhythm (our internal body clock) that enables an efficient metabolism and vibrant health!

Started using an elimination diet with every client to determine what foods are best for each individual.  Food allergies and sensitivities effect 80% of us!  A “healthy” food for one person could be toxic to another, causing inflammation, disrupting hormone balance and affecting the brain and mood and metabolism.

Started prescribing gut health supplements, like probiotics and digestive enzymes, for better health because our CEO went on a vacation and didn’t eat any dairy or wheat for 2 weeks and for the first time ever, stopped having gas and flaky skin or belly-bloat.

Learned the importance of treating Candida (yeast overgrowth) by eliminating sugar and refined carbs and using herbs, supplements and cultured foods to balance the bugs.

Had a major paradigm shift that supplements do speed weight loss and help repair the root causes. People do get better results with the right supplements (and the USDA and AMA admitted in 1999 that our food sources and diet doesn’t contain enough nutrients and we should all be supplementing).

Tested Splenda in a Diabetes Education Program to find out it didn’t work as advertised. REAL FOOD heals. Chemicals are toxic and make us sick and fat.  Within months, 65% of our 800 diabetes clients had reduced their blood sugars to near normal levels with diet alone and had eliminated their medications for diabetes and for blood pressure.

Had a paradigm shift and abandoned low fat foods (which only cause inflammation, hunger and cravings) and the high carb recommendations of the day. We were recommending and eating Paleo-like meals way back then!!

Started testing client blood sugars and learned that eating at night changes insulin and blood sugar balance more than eating at any other time of day. WHEN you eat is just as important as WHAT you eat!

Weight Loss Coach Highlight: Kim Ward

Kim Ward is Expert Certified and has 20 years of experience. Her education and experience includes Licensed Massage Therapist, a Functional Nutritionist and Certified Holistic Health Coach. She has helped hundreds of people who suffered from anxiety, leaky gut, Obesity, Adrenal issues, food allergies, hormone imbalance and more.

Kim’s clients love her for how she approaches her role as your weight loss coach. She is compassionate, while still able to kick you in the booty when you need it! She has a great sense of humor, but don’t be fooled. She has a keen ability to hone in on what could be going on inside of your body. She believes in spurring you into action and has the science behind her ability to help you. We love Kim and we know you will too!
